1.0 - Overview


Your Global Settings are a useful tool when build your website and allow you to manage most of your internal data from one location as opposed to altering information on every page that exists.


1.1 - How to Access Basic Info 


Accessing Basic Info


To Access the Basic Info Tab, Please Follow the Steps Listed Below:


1. In your Visual Builder dashboard menu, select the "Settings" module to the left-hand side of your screen. 


2. In the drop-down menu, select the "Site Settings" option. 


3. If the "Basic Info" tab is not selected, select it manually and begin filling out the proper fields.


1.2 - What Information Will the Basic Info Tab Request?


Colors: At the beginning of this section you will need to add color options that you’ll be using on your website. These colors can be applied to a wide range of elements in the Visual Builders block settings. Elements such as backgrounds, buttons, icons, etc. will have access to these colors. It is best to use colors that have already been associated with your brand such as colors in your logo, as well as neutral colors such as grey, white and black. 



Background Images: This portion of the basic details tab will allow you to add your "Theme Background Image" & "Member Dashboard Login Background."



What's the Difference Between Theme & Member Dashboard Login Backgrounds?


Theme Background Image: This Background image will appear only on your end when you log in to your administrative portal.

            

Member Dashboard Login Background Image: This background image will show up anytime any of your users/members login to their login portal.


Default Fonts: This portion of the Basic Details tab will allow you to select your "Default Fonts" from our Visual Builder library which will appear throughout your website.


Force Fonts: Choose yes to over-ride user defined fonts. 


Display Breadcrumbs:

Selecting "Yes" will allow a user to view a sites hierarchy enabling them to see the pages position on the site. 

Selecting "No" will disable a user from viewing a page's position on a website.


Web Form Max File Upload: This option will give you the ability to limit the max file size a user can upload on a form.


Logo: Here you may add your company logo, which can appear anywhere on your website of editable blocks.


Secondary Logo: Your secondary logo generally appears in your footer block. 


Square Logo: Giving an option for a square logo allows the user to show their logo differently on various design elements such as headers & footers.


Favicon: Also known as a shortcut icon, website icon, tab icon, URL icon, or bookmark icon, is a file containing one or more small icons, associated with a website or web page.



Copyright: A copyright is a form of intellectual property that grants the creator of an original creative work an exclusive legal right to determine whether and under what conditions this original work may be copied and used by others, usually for a limited term of years.


Non-Profit Type: This helps to populate the footer (Update)


Tax ID: A Taxpayer Identification Number is an identifying number used for tax purposes in the United States and in other countries under the Common Reporting Standard. In the United States it is also known as a Tax Identification Number or Federal Taxpayer Identification Number.


Select the blue “Save” button when you complete this section and are ready to move on to the next (Address Details).


1.3 - Address Details

To Access the Address Details Tab, Please Follow the Steps Listed Below:


1. In your Visual Builder menu, select the "Settings" module in the left-hand side of your screen. 


2. In the drop-down menu, select the "Site Settings" option. 


3. If the "Address Details" tab is not selected, select it manually and begin filling out the proper fields.


1.4 - What Information Will the Address Details Tab Request?


Business Name: The business name is where the site's Business Name should be entered, and will be inserted where-ever the Shortcode for {{business_name}} appears. 


Business Title: Business titles are given to company and organization officials to show what duties and responsibilities they have in the organization. Such titles are used by publicly and privately held for-profit.


Business Email: A business email is simply the email which you use specifically for your business. Normally, your business email address includes your company name within it such as your [email protected] and your colleagues will have their email address formatted in the same way.


Business Phone: Your business phone number is the number one point of contact customers have to your company.


Address Line 1: Input office location here. This address will be used to populate any map location and address details in the site. 


Address Line 2: Input remainder of office location here.


City: Provide the name of the city your company resides in.


State: Provide the name of the state your company resides in.


Country: Provide the name of the country your company resides in.


Zip: Provide the zip code of the area your company resides in.


Latitude: Provide the geographic coordinate that specifies the north–south position of a point on the Earth's surface. This information will be added automatically once the Address information is filled in.


Longitude: Provide the geographic coordinate that specifies the east–west position of a point on the Earth's surface. This information will be added automatically once the Address information is filled in. 


Secondary Phone: If you have a second phone line you use, please include it here.


Secondary Email: If you have a second email address you use, please include it here.


Fax: Fax, sometimes called telecopying or telefax, is the telephonic transmission of scanned printed material, normally to a telephone number connected to a printer or other output devices.


Website: Include your web address for your current website.


System Generated Email: Equivalent to a no reply at instead of giving a particular users email.


Select the blue “Save” button when you complete this section and are ready to move on to the next (Business Profile).



1.5 - Business Profile

To Access the Business Profile Tab, Please Follow the Steps Listed Below:


1. In your dashboard menu, select the "Settings" module to the left-hand side of your screen. 


2. In the drop-down menu, select the "Global Settings" option. 


3. If the "Business Profile" tab is not selected, select it manually and begin filling out the proper fields.


1.6 - What Information Will the Business Profile Tab Request?


First Name: List the first name for the company contact via the Shortcode {{first_name}}.


Middle Name: List the middle name for the company contact via the Shortcode {{middle_name}} .


Last Name: List the last name for the company contact via the Shortcode  {{last_name}}.


Credentials or Accreditation: Certifications or Accreditation that the contact would like to list on the website via the Shortcode {{ptin_credentials}}. 


Professional Memberships: Professional Membership includes both Regular and Associate Members and is designed to provide resources, information, and community to writers  that would be listed on the website via the Shortcode: {{prof_memberships}}.   


Professional Titles: Professional titles are used to signify a person's professional role or to designate membership in a professional society. Shortcode: {{prof_titles}}


Education: Here you may include degrees and schools you have attended. Shortcode: {{education}} 


Services: List what services you offer your clients if you don't supply tangible products. Shortcode: {{services}} 


Languages: Speaking multiple languages is a desired trait in many markets, here you can list what languages you speak. Shortcode: {{languages}} 


Industries: An industry is the production of goods or related services within an economy. The major source of revenue of a group or company is the indicator of its relevant industry. When a large group has multiple sources of revenue generation, it is considered to be working in different industries. Shortcode: {{industries}} 


About Company: Fill in your clients on what your company offers as far as services or products. Shortcode: {{about_company}} 


More About Company: Continue to fill in your clients on what your company offers as far as services or products. Shortcode: {{more_about_company}} 


Terms: Fill in the Terms of Use for your website here. Shortcode: {{terms}} 


Privacy: A privacy policy is a statement or a legal document (in privacy law) that discloses some or all of the ways a party gathers, uses, discloses, and manages a customer or client's data. It fulfills a legal requirement to protect a customer or client's privacy. Shortcode: {{privacy}} 


Business Hours: Business hours are the hours during the day in which business is commonly conducted.

To Access the Page Settings Tab, Please Follow the Steps Listed Below:


1. In your dashboard menu, select the "Settings" module to the left-hand side of your screen. 


2. In the drop-down menu, select the "Global Settings" option. 


3. If the "Page Settings" tab is not selected, select it manually and begin filling out the proper fields.


1.8 - What Information Will the Page Settings Tab Request?


Default Page Title: This field will show up on your web browser's tab.

        Listed below are requirements when filling out the appropriate fields.


            1. Capitalize the first letter.

           


Default Page Description: (Very important field which enables your website to be found) Search engines use this to let visitors know what a page is about before they click on in. This also helps your web page be found on the web.

Default Page Keywords: (SEO) Similar to “Alt Text”, keywords are words or phrases in your web content that make it possible to find your site via search engines.

           

Index Pages: If the index page is checked the page will be accessible to search engines. If you If your site is not live or you do not want your page found in a web search do not click index page.


Cookie Policy: A cookie policy is a declaration to your users on what cookies are active on your website, what user data they track, for what purpose, and where in the world this data is sent.


Also, a cookie policy should contain information on how your users may opt out of the cookies or change their settings in regard to the cookies on your website.


Many website owners choose to incorporate the cookie policy as a section of their privacy policy.


The privacy policy is a document, usually a page on the website, in which all of the methods and purposes of the data processing activities on the site are outlined, including contact forms, mailing lists etc.

To Access the Template Settings Tab, Please Follow the Steps Listed Below:


1. In your dashboard menu, select the "Settings" module to the left-hand side of your screen. 


2. In the drop-down menu, select the "Global Settings" option. 


3. If the "Template Settings" tab is not selected, select it manually and begin filling out the proper fields.


1.10 - What Information Will the Template Settings Tab Request?


Very Important: Selecting the "Reset Template" button will delete all information associated with your website.

Accessing Page Settings


To Access the Template Settings Tab, Please Follow the Steps Listed Below:


1. In your dashboard menu, select the "Settings" module to the left-hand side of your screen. 


2. In the drop-down menu, select the "Global Settings" option. 


3. If the "Social Settings" tab is not selected, select it manually and begin filling out the proper fields.


1.12 - What Information Will the Social Settings Tab Request?


Link your personal / business social media accounts to your website displaying them for all to see on your navigation menu.
